Van life will never
be the same
with this hack

Hey there,

My name is Coral and I’m a traveler at heart. I love getting out there and seeing new places, but I’ve never really been a fan of traditional camping. I’ve been living full-time in my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for a year now & absolutely LOVE it!!! That’s why I’m going to tell you how you can maximise your space when it comes to vanlife – creature comforts & living on the road.

If you’ve ever been “campervanning”, you know that one of the most important things is having a comfortable bed to sleep in. Now there are a few different layout styles when it comes to your bed. So lets talk about those…

LOUNGE TO BED LAYOUT

This layout is great as you have the best of both worlds…a lounge area to chill in plus your bed to sleep in at night. However, if you have to make your bed out of your lounge, that can be a bit of a challenge due to the effort you have to go to each day to set it up. If you’re a bit lazy like me you’d mostly have it setup as a bed PLUS a decent amount of your storage is then taken up by all your bedding. Like, it has to go somewhere when you’re not sleeping. Also depending on the foam you use for your lounge, this could result in your bed not being comfortable or supportive enough. So make sure you invest in something quality!

GARAGE STYLE

Now this layout is very popular. Firstly you can fit a permanent bed with a comfortable mattress inside. Second you don’t need to go to ANY effort setting it up each day, just simply making your bed like usual. Third, you do create LOTS of storage underneath your bed. The downside to this layout is the storage isn’t the easiest to access or keep organised. Most vans I’ve seen with this layout have their electricals underneath the bed which is hard to fix if you have any issues, plus most stuff is just chucked in there keeping it super unorganised & hard to find things at times.

That’s where a Campervan Bed Lift Kit comes in!

With a camper van bed lift, you can raise your bed up to the ceiling of your van, giving you plenty of room to move around during the day & giving you a comfortable place to sleep at night. Plus with a bed lift, if you’re in a hurry or just lazy like me you don’t have to worry about making your bed every day – just press UP on your wireless controller & it’s all packed away keeping your van looking nice & tidy. When you’re ready to go to sleep simply push DOWN & your bed will lower into place in a minute. Another great benefit about this layout is you still can install a lounge or storage underneath your bed for all your must have’s on your travels. This means you can install your electricals in an easy to access area & keep all your belongings organised.

So if you’re looking for a way to make campervanning more comfortable, consider investing in a Campervan Bed Lift Kit.

I hope this helps you in deciding on a layout for your camper van. If you have any questions feel free to post them in the comments section below.

See you on the road!
